Future news items such as downtimes and upgrades will be posted in the news folder and not on this front page. For ease of use, the news folder is syndicated and produces feeds that can be read in feed readers such as Thunderbird and NetNewsWire.

You can find the news folder by clicking on the 'news' tab to the upper left of the browser window, underneath the Share-IT logo.

1. This machine is backed up nightly, so the information on it is not going to be lost in the case of a disaster.
2. The name of the site recently changed to "Share-IT" from "meld". The occasional "meld" reference can still be found; until these are eliminated, know that it also means this site. If you previously accessed the site via meld.gatech.edu, now use: http://share-it.gatech.edu or https://share-it.gatech.edu.
3. If you can't find the information that you're looking for, most likely you're not on the right team. Contact the person that you think is in charge of the information that you're looking for and see if you can be added to the right team(s). Alternately, log a Remedy ticket.
4. Editing doesn't work well in Safari or Opera. You'll need to use Firefox, IE, SeaMonkey or Mozilla.
5. This is a work in progress site and should not be considered official or an OIT committment. Please do not rely on a project or roadmap being funded or implemented without consulting with the owner.
